Toilet Bound Hanako-kun by Aidalro

Vol 19 answers a few questions, wraps up some loose ends, and per usual with this series leaves us with a cliffhanger that makes me think vol 20 is going to have some sort of tragedy!

After being informed that the only way to return to the mortal world is to destroy Sumira-Chan Nene heads off to find some other way, fortunately for her No. 6 takes the problem into his own hands proving that once a tragic heroine always a tragic heroine. I didn't necessarily have any expectations of how or even if Sumira-Chan would die but Aidalro found the most beautifully, tragic way to end her. She finally got what she wanted I suppose so there is that, but it was still a heartbreaking.

Sakura meets with Yashiro at the end of the No. 6's boundary and informs her that she will live as long as the remaining yorishiros do. The weird thing is though telling her this seems to go again whatever her and Amane's plot is because they need the yorishiros destroyed. It's pretty clear that there is something else going on here, but I honestly cannot fathom what that is.

The Minamoto boys finally make up which is great. Teru essentially acknowledges that not all supernaturals are bad and I think that's a pretty big deal, even if he would still kill them without batting an eye. Kou admits that he may not the be the greatest exorcist on the planet but that's because he just cares about people. I think that wraps that up nicely except the vol ends with Mitsuba showing up out of the blue. Given what we find out regarding the yorishiros in this volume the fact that he presents himself to Kou makes me extremely worried.

Honestly, I found this one to be more of a filler than anything but everything that happened in this volume definitely was needed for the story to progress. It wasn't an earth-shattering volume by any stretch of the imagination but a real quick read that gives us something of an idea of what is coming.
