Juri and Akatsuki are the number one and number two hosts at the host club, Velvet's Kiss. Juri is quiet and reserved and holds the number one spot while Akatsuki is loud, boisterous, and determined to steal the number one spot from Juri. One evening he decides to just point-blank ask Juri to train him on becoming a better host. Juri however is much better at his job than Akatsuki first guessed as he immediately falls for his exceedingly handsome co-worker and while Akatsuki knows he should keep it casual as he spends more time with Juri he realizes he's losing his heart to him.
This was a promising start to a drama centered around these two hosts. It's not just Juri and Akatsuki's relationship here but the demands of their job, including women who are truly no more than stalkers, and a shady past on Juri's end. We've also got a blatant lack of communication plot here that seems like it may resolve itself next volume and far from being trope-ish it's an understandable reality for these two.
I'll definitely be checking out volume two!
