Of Dragons, Feasts, and Murder: A Dragons and Blades Story by Aliette de Bodard

This was and was not exactly what I was expecting, in the best possible ways. The mystery was solid, the characters intriguing, and both the pacing and world building were brilliantly done.

And yes, I am totally admitting that Asomdeus was my favorite character. He was just so dark, even when he was doing decent things, he was just kind of a jerk about it.

My only very tiny complaint was some of the dialogue was rough, it wasn't often and I have a strong feeling that complaint will not exist in the next book, but it was enough to knock it down to 4.5 stars.

Overall, I'm super glad I bought the 2nd book in the series at the same time because I'll be heading back to this world soon!
