Various Manga

This post is going to be a tad bit different as it'll contain the first volumes of several Manga. It didn't really make sense to make individual posts for each since I'm reading them all at the same time plus they are all pretty short and sweet.

And with that on to the reviews!

Dra-Q1 by Chiyo

I think its gotta be said: Much better love story than Twilight 😅. Okay at least so far, it is only volume 1. Just a surprisingly short manga about a 160 yr old vampire falling in love with a human boy. It was pretty darn cute, had some really amazing art, perfect amount of action, and the cliffhanger ending ensures that I'll definitely be reading volume 2!

This was just adorable and a little heart breaking but omg so adorable. I dont want to give to much away but I enjoyed how Ohana handles this immensely, I would have been so sad if there wasn't a future for these two. The art is gorgeous and reminds me a bit of CLAMP, which is 100% what attracted me to it in the first place. It was a little faster paced than I expected, but, after reading it I'm not complaining. I would have been devastated if I hadn't found out what was actually going on until volume 2!

Dead Rock Vol. 1 by Hiro Mashima


This would be absolutely brilliant as a Disgaea plot! A Demon King posing as god? Yup, totally a Disgaea plot! I enjoyed this entire thing loved that it was set in a academy setting, loved the idea that the demons have roots from various myths and folklore, the art was amazing (of course), and the characters were a lot of fun too. Looking forward to Vol. 2!

The Ghost Princess by M. Walsh

When a strange set of occurrences lead a group of complete strangers on a collision course where half of them want the world to end, the other half want to save it, and one man in particular just really isn't supposed to be here a hero will emerge...okay I'm lying a girl with a serious case of PTSD, a half Succubus half Orc demon, and a man with a curse will emerge and well fuck some shit up, which will definitely result in the world being saved. At least for the moment.  Holy fuck this was hands down the surprise 5 star read of the year for me. And I'm going to be completely honest every review prior to mine is what made me move it to the very tippy top of my TBR, because I had barely read the prologue and was already hooked when when I saw some of the ratings.  Ghost Princess was absolutely unlike anything I have ever read and yet reminded me of some of my favorite books and anime. The Jinxed Pirate by M. Walsh

Katrina has decided to see if the survivors of Vigor will accept her back, which doesn't go over very well, as a kind of peace offering one of the surviving Nobles tells her Jagger her boyfriend from before the war is alive. With nothing to lose and everything to gain Katrina sets off to find Jagger.  In the meantime, Krutch and Arkady are once again tracked down and after getting away (by tumbling off a cliff) he finds himself in a weird Mission, with a weird woman who is far too interested in him.
